The hammerheads themselves, made from malleable iron are in some cases drop forged and in others cast direct into our traditional patented George Barnsley and Sons patterns, a high quality and essential leather working tool

Each hammerhead is fitted with a shaft, handcrafted from hickory or ash, on site here in Sheffield, UK, that is specifically designed to suit the weight and shape of the hammerhead and is secured in place by use of hardwood wedges, steel wedges and where required pinned through the shaft
