Proper awls!
I have used Barnsley awls since I started my training as a saddler 20 years ago, I have now purchased some new ones too teach beginner leatherwork. I have tried a couple of other brands in the past but they do not match up to the blade strength that Barnsley awls have for saddlery and harness work. Strong and sharp highly recommend!

Not had chance to use it yet but it’s ready willing and ready to go ref picture in screwed awl because that is its new home all I know the point and sides of awl the leather is on a hiding to nothing should go through with ease
