Developed in response to feedback from the saddlery trade, our Slim Saddler's Awl Handle offers the same classic George Barnsley pattern in a more refined profile for improved comfort and control.
 
Produced following discussions with Christer Dahlberg from the Walsall Leather Skills Centre and the Society of Master Saddlers, the slimmer design reduces the maximum handle diameter from 28mm to 22mm while retaining the original 96mm overall length.
 
The result is a handle that sits naturally in the hand, particularly for prolonged periods of stitching and fine saddlery work.
 
Each handle is fitted with a solid brass ferrule and is available in your choice of traditional British Beech or richly figured American Walnut, carefully finished to highlight the natural character of the timber.
